| Description: Intermediate STARSkate program is for our STAR 1 skaters and offers the opportunity to further develop their figure skating skills in areas such as ice dance, skating skills, free skate, and interpretive skating. At our club, STARSkate is taught in a group format and while lessons are primarily group-based, skaters also receive some individual guidance from professional coaches within these sessions, rather than through separately scheduled private lessons. The program is designed to be progressive and sequential, with awards and incentives to recognize achievement, and skaters have the opportunity to participate in Skate Canada’s nationally standardized testing system. As they advance, skaters may also choose to explore competitions at the regional level. |
